Has anyone else has this problem with Deep Chrome

Has anyone had trouble with yellow mold growing on top of their Deep Chrome paste? I've had this stuff for a little while now, and in the past 4 times that I have used it I have seen a yellow mold growing on top of the product. I've taken out all of the mold which requires wasting a lot of the product, but it sill keeps coming back later on. It's not like I have dropped the jar or lid on the ground, there's notihing on the threads of the lid to keep it from sealing properly, and I don't store it in a damp area. Does the Deep Chrome containers really suck that bad? Have you all seen anything similar?

You know molds release airborne spores that float around. It may just be that one that really liked your polish landed in there while you were using it, or maybe it got contaminated at the factory. Molds and fungus are really tough because the spores can stay inert but potent for a really long time, just waiting for the right conditions. Unlikely that your "cleaning" of the top layer is sterilizing the jar, so it just keeps growing back.

Agreed.

The endospores are just waiting to find that "right" condition to create spores, Just like Bacillus Anthracis. Endospores are commonly found in soil and water, where they may survive for long periods of time.

Take a picture of the mold/fungus and I may be able to tell you what kind it may be and how to get rid of it from your Chrome Polish

I brought this to the formulator of this product and he told me

"Oh yeah thats common with that product. You can scoop it out or just remix it back into the paste and it should increaes the abrasiveness"

I literally spit my soda out laughing, he was dead serious...
