I used to live in the mountains where the military did there practice runs on aircrafts like fighter jets and cargo planes. On day I heard a noise and looked up over the tree line and bag a vary low flying c140 cargo flu just over the trees just like that right above me sacred the #&#*# out of me and knocked me over.
My kids and I saw a Harrier at an air show about 9-10 years ago, even hovering 100 yards from us and about 100 feet in the air, the sound was deafening.
