Had to make a change.......

PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?
Well it has reached a low point in my life. DEBT. I have way to much CC debt. Tired of struggling and trying to make ends meet. Hopefully took the right step this morning and entered a DEBT CONSOLIDATION PROGRAM! One of the best i was told. If i follow this thru, 3 years tops i will be out. The monthly payment will not be easy, but i will be putting out a few hundred less each month vs the cc bills. This took years to do the damage. Ups/downs just life in general. You get the pitcure. Made a lot of friends here for sure. So wish me luck and keep me in your prayers.

On a good note, the better half started a really good job today! Local gov defense place. Exc. office work. After being out of work over a year, she is so happy! I saw how many interviews she went on and got turned down over the year. So sad. But things can change. Proof positive.

Great to hear you took that first step PA, I myself had to do this many yrs ago when I have to many bills from hospitals and Doctors using my C.C. I had a rough time been the only one working and no insurance at the time so I know how you feel. One bright spot is the outcome your going to get with make it worth while. I only pay cash and no CC's for me now. Hang in there!..............Angelo

Good Luck it will be hard to break old habits as I know also. Stay with it and only good things can happen later....

Thanks. Its going to be a struggle to say the least, but i am willing to try it. I am trying to avoid the big B at all all cost. But that may be on the horizon if this does not pan out. I just got tired of the stress and robbing peter to pay paul. No way to live at all for sure. I am currently working just to pay bills. No extra income left. Not good. And by god, that gets old real fast.

I see a lot of positive here PA! A few years ago I did something similar. When I was young(er) and dumb(er) I left a balance on my student credit card, didn't completely pay off my student loan, and had some medical bills on my credit report. I didn't know much about how credit worked and how things affected my score. I was tired of having bad credit and decided it was time to fix it. I did a lot of research and I hired a credit repair lawyer firm and they removed almost everything from my credit report. I contacted my school and setup a payment plan to pay off my loan. It was actually exciting to see my credit score improve. Trust me it'll be worth it in the end. Now I'm much more educated about credit and only have 1 credit card I keep under 30% of max balance. 3 years (tops) isn't a lot of time. Years seem to go by faster and faster nowadays. I felt like I was at SEMA a few weeks ago and it's almost time to head back to Las Vegas. Stay positive because every payment you make is an improvement!

Congrats on your better half too!

Good luck.... It's gotta make you breathe a little easier dropping payments 200/m and wifes new job.

Back in 06 I lost a really good job due to the recession. I went from making 60k + a year to making a fraction of that, which is why I got back into the detailing game after several years of being away from it. The only problem was that we were budgeted around that bigger income. After some bad advise from a few friends and family members, I filed chapter 7. It was the worst decision I ever made. Yes it took care of most of the debt, but it destroyed my credit to the point that Im just now starting to recover from it. If its at all avoidable, do NOT file. Your future self will thank you for it once this is all said and done. Good luck with it though. I know from first hand experience that the stresses from major debt can put a lot of burden on family and relationships. Stick together through this, and you can make it though anything.

Congrats on taking the first step. No matter your situation, you can always make a change for the better if you're willing to put up with some temporary hardships and stick to it.

I've been there done that (long ago though)... The good news is that in a few years it will be over and you will be much wiser. In a surprisingly short time, you will look back on these days with pride and nostalgia. Why? Because you will have accomplished something really worthwhile - all by yourself!

Congratulations!

Been there done that. Good luck. Once you make the effort to get out of debt you never go back.

I probably had $50k in credit card debt about 10 years ago and nothing to show for it. Mostly it was spent going out partying, drinking, vacations, etc... It didn't pay for Granny's heart surgery - that's for sure. All wasted money.

Then, I woke up. I didn't consolidate. I just stopped using all the cards and started attacking the one with the lowest balance first via payments. I haven't used a credit card in 10 years. Pay cash for everything and anything. The thing is, once you stop paying all these cards and their crazy interest - you will have so much more disposable income.

That crazy 50k balance on 10 cards is less than 5k on a single card now. Yes, I'm still paying it off. In a year it will be GONE!

"The longest journey begins with the first step."

Congratulations on taking that first step.

With utmost respect,
Tom

Having had a couple of close friends go through this process, it is my understanding that most of the consolidation companies won't even take you on if the obvious out come is bankruptcy. That being the case they believe there is light at the end of the tunnel for you. You are a success story in their minds. It now becomes a matter of discipline. I don't mean to down play the difficulty that lies ahead for you. It will be hard but you can do this.

Remember these two quotes, wish I could site the persons that said these.

It's easier to go down a hill than up it but the view is much better at the top.

It is your reaction to adversity, not adversity itself, that determines how your life's story will develop.

I wish you much success.

Yes sir. Full plate this week. Depressed to say the least. Add very long hours this week and i am stressed. Got the paperwork this week. Going to work on it this weekend and get it out monday (off). I know this is going to get ugly before it gets better. Doing my best to deal with it......

PA Detailer !!!

Yes, I know; the way is still a little hard - but - just this part for now...

You can get through this... You and your Sweetheart need to sit down, have a little prayer, and then get up and do the work..

Abraham Lincoln once said that he prayed really hard and really relied on God to Bless him and our Country, and then got up and went out and worked as hard as he could as if everything depended on him to be worthy of the Blessings he was asking for..

If there is anything - absolutely - anything - I have ever learned in this lifetime that has really rung true in my personal life and in the lives of others I have known, or read about, it is that you/we Absolutely, repeat, Absolutely have to Believe, really have Faith, that what we asked for will come - After, repeat, After - all that we can do...

Do you and yours really want to find a solution and work through this and one day be better?? I believe you do...

Then, do your personal, alone time work, share these moments again, with your loved ones, and ask everyone there to summon up all the Faith - Belief - they have, that you will all get through this... And your will...

I have seen this alone change the course of many to a more sure way; a path that has been well traveled, and is safe..

There is after the long journey, respite and peace waiting for all those that hold on and do NOT let go...

We all here are giving you and yours all we have and absolutely Believe that you can and will get through this !!!!!

Are you ready to go? Let's go ! :)

My Best,
Dan Franco
