H2 and VM applied wet

I really like the workability of ClearKotes Vanilla Moose as it can be used on a vehicle that is still wet.

I did this H2 today, which was just caked in mud from a hunting trip the client took, and it was in need of a spruce-up so after washing it and just using my leaf blower to get rid of the standing water I sprayed the tires and wheel wells with dressing and then applied VM to a MF applicator and went over everything, paint, chrome, wheels and glass while still wet.

I let that sit on the finish while I did the interior vacuum and windows. A MF towel with a few mists of QuickShine and everything comes off the paint, wheels, chrome and glass with ease.

Give this techinique a try and I am sure you will be pleased with the results.

Here are a few pics.

Looks good Anthony! Not sure how that method would work with QEW though.

VM is definitely a versatile product! If you get Meguiars NXT Wax, try it over VM....they look really good together!

Very interesting advice Anthony. Thank you. Just speeds up the process even more :D.

I haven't really looked at their paint upclose, but what do you mean about bad paint? Orange peel, or just awkwardness of each panel?

Next to AIO, I feel VM is one of the most versatile products in my arsenal.

Like yourself, I use it on paint, glass and chrome.

However, I haven't let it dry like you do.

Cool tip.

Scott,

I'll try to find some NXT around here and see what all the BUZZ is about. Looks like a winner:up

Gonzo,

This is one of the rare clients I have who owns an H2 and actually uses it for something more than going to the grocery store:rolleyes: The wheel were packed, no exageration here, with rocks and mudd. It took me about 20 minutes to clean each tire and wheel well:mad:

GSR,

By bad paint I mean the coverage is bad, tons of orange peel and body panels that look as if they were banged up before assembly. IMHO, not worth the money.

Well I need to get. Thanks for the compliments and more pictures later.......I hope:D

Anthony- Thanks for sharing that, wouldn't have thought of it...gives a whole new slant to "goes on wet, comes off wet" :D

Looks great, and your method sounds easy, I'll have to try it if it ever warms up again:xyxthumbs

H2's are for girls btw:D

H2's have some reall horrible paint on them but the VM gives it a decent shine.

Yeah, why is that? Surprising since the GM big SUVs tend to have such nice paint...

Nice detail nevertheless.

Werd. Escalades are especially good these days.

I've only done one H2, a black one. The paint job was pretty good, but it seems to have a thinner appearance than regular GM SUVs.
