Guess my process

I'm doing it. I'm conforming to the Autopian ways. I finally ordered myself some Klasse AIO and SG (thanks to the group buy!), and I have a couple application questions.

1) Do I apply AIO like a polish? Can I apply AIO with the PC and work on small sections at a time, buffing off as I go?

2) How long should I let the SG dry before buffing? Cure before putting on a second layer?

Also, I will be needing to do some swirl removing polish work. Here's the plan:

FI-II

#9 SMR 2.0

AIO

SG

3) Is the #9 SMR needed, or does the AIO do what that will do?

Chuck,

I used AIO by hand my 1st time , a few weeks later I redid it with a PC . NO CONTEST PC wins. I got a much better shine with the PC and its quick and fun to do. Its hard for your arms to do what the PC can. I'll never use AIO by hand again, except for small stuff, chrome wheels ect. As for the SG at least 1 hour ,some people leave it over night. If your car stays outside don't leave it over night. I did and it was a mess in the morning.

If you do a search on Klasse, you will find enough to keep you reading for a month! :D [/b]</blockquote>
I know! I searched for "Klasse application" and other things like that, and I got pages and pages of links! Why do you think I asked? ;)

Thanks for the help. One question.

Let me get this straight-- should I work the ENTIRE car with AIO before buffing any off? If this is correct, how long should I wait after working the entire car with AIO before buffing off the residue?

Okay, another question. :)

Is a Meguiar's foam pad okay to use for SG?

You can buff off the AIO immediately, no wait needed.

Let the SG cure for at least 20 minutes, longer is better.

Use a damp applicator for AIO, a dry applicator for SG. Foam pads work great for both.

I haven't used Klasse personally (yet), but I believe the #9 2.0 is going to leave some oils/fillers behind - so it is probably better NOT to use it - because the polymers all want clean paint to bond to. You could also Dawn-wash before the AIO step.

06 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Yesterday after a good dawn wash, Ironx and another dawn wash it appears that I have all of the glazes and fillers removed.

The whole vehicle has been repainted in the past.

I have been doing some test spots on the hood. I found a combo that works very well.

Can you guess my 2 step process?

How do you like the Ironx Bryan? I have a liter that should be here today.

I wonder if you might be testing the new Megs microfiber system on this. I know some others that were at SEMA the same time as you are testing it. As good as you are, it would seem logical.

All I have to give away is some dry wash n guard. :out:

Hint: This repaint is very soft, maybe the softest paint I have ever worked on.

Everything I am using so far are "public products."

This is after the first step:
