Just a regular guy
Gtechniq

The British are coming! The British are coming! Again....

No I'm not talking about “Red Coats” nor am I talking about guys named John, Paul, Ringo, George, Mick, Pete, or Davie...

Gtechniq, an English surface care company is invading the United States with their high-tech coatings and care care products. Each product is rigorously tested and made with an extra helping of 3S.

What is 3S? Smart Surface Science. Gtechniq specializes in using next generation science to develop products that deliver maximum performance. At Gtechniq they call this 3S. We call it extreme!

Autopia-CarCare.com is proud to stock the first round of Gtechniq products to land in the Colonies.

Gtechniq's goal is to engineer the world's best surface care products. Products that are based on real science, innovative materials, and total ease of use. Products like C1 Crystal Lacquer or EXO Ultra Durable Hybrid Coating which protect your finishes for years, not weeks.

Gtechniq's products harness the performance of nano scale composite materials and are tested in absolutely brutal conditions to ensure maximum performance. The result is that Gtechniq's products deliver maximum long term visual impact and protect against not only the elements, but the ravages of time, and the impact of the daily grind.

Gtechniq may call it 3S, but when you try these amazing surface care we believe you will join us in saying that they are amazing! Extremely amazing!

What are the differences between Gtechniq Surface Coatings and waxes and sealants?!

Waxes and sealants provide a sacrificial barrier against the elements. They sacrafic themselves for the good of the paint. A good wax or sealant will last between 3 to 6 months.

Gtechniq surface coatings have a life measured in years, not weeks, and very rarely in months. This is extreme car care at its finest!

I've heard and seen wonderful stuff about Gtechniq EXO.

Do you know what the ETA is on that product?
I'd love to give it a go!

Any feedback on the look and feel of EXO?
Is it deep like BFMS or PS?
Is it slick like BFWD?

Awesome stuff !!! This is one product line I have been waiting for Autopia to carry !!!

I can't wait to try the trim restorer, glass sealant, and EXO.

Already converted to Blackfire......but this does look promising I would want to try out the Silo Seal and Glass polish.. Ill wait till next year for this.

The crystal lacquer is scratch proof? does that mean no more swirls:thought:

Great addition. Already planning on Silo'ing the Sonata next weekend.

Cannot wait to hear your thoughts!

The ETA on EXO is soon. It's hard to have a specific date whenever something is shipped "across the pond" but soon... very soon... :bigups

My understanding is that the Crystal Lacquer does provide some increase in scratch resistance. It will still be possible to get marring but the chances of getting marring should be greatly reduced.

I finally had a chance to watch the EXO videos. It does look interesting. I wonder how it would react / "play" with the current coating on the market?

I kept watching the Wet Mclaren video. My wife ask what the f$%* are you looking at, she was realized it was only a car.....

Todd, it's been 3 mos. since you stayed late, and played with the GTECHNIQ products, I was wondering what your' thoughts were on their results as they sound too good to be true, also, have you tried their polish, and if so, what did you think? Thanks, Bill

Here are my thoughts so far...

Both Gtechniq SmartVision Clear Glass and Water Repellent Coating are excellent products. Until my car accident SmartVision was working extremely well and had shown ZERO degradation.

EXO is a really unique product with a really really really nice look. The water beading/sheeting from it is insane.

C1 Crystal Lacquer is another cool product, although I found the application/removal slightly tricky. Again, another amazing product though. I am thinking about doing the C1/EXO combo on my own car in the near future.

I am looking forward to testing their polish and Wheel Armor soon.
