So we were given a washing system at Autogeeks detail fest, as a sample, when we went down to introduce the new WD, BH, and QD+. We have been using it a lot since than and I love it. It makes cleaning the pads so quick and fast! During the two years that we have had it I noticed no deconstruction or "wear and tear" on it still looks new (if you get the polish residue off lol). All you got to do is add water, spray supplied cleaning solution on pad, than put ANY kind of polisher on low speed and run for like 25-30 seconds (sometimes less sometimes more depends on pad). You can get a little wet if the lid come off or undone its happened to me before :lol2: but no biggy just a little water and polish. And to dry the pad just spin it on fastest setting inside the bucket for two seconds than I like to take it out and just let it spin away in the air. Maybe tap the edge of the pad slightly so the water comes off it and the pad is dry and ready to use! So there you have it just my little review of the product I would highly suggest it to any detailers that are doing more than one car a day and need to clean their pads in between it is a MAJOR time saver and saving time means earning money!

The best turn around of them all! A wool pad that we used to burn through a hood at the detailing weekend. That is black paint on the pad not polish! Before:

The guys at Grit Guard are truly great business men who have brought some awesome products to the detailing world. Not to mention anyone that has met Chris or Doug will tell you they are great guys!! :bow As for the Pad Washer, I have NEVER heard a complaint about this product, works great and keeps your pads going longer then expected. Very nice review Pockets! :thanks

Thanks Megahn! Yes we met doug and chris when we were down there great people i was hanging out with chris at the fest!!

It seems to work well, it's just the "As seen on TV" buzz words that kill me.

Great minds... well you know what they say. I have a review of the same product locked and loaded, just waiting for a couple more pics this weekend.

I received a Grit Guard Pad Washer as a gift from my new best friend last week! ;)

I know one pro detailer who told me that he did not like the system, but everyone else loves theirs. Put me down in the "Where have you been all my life?" column.

This thing is fantastic. I have actually been throwing my pads in the WASHING MACHINE! :eek:

Well, the Pad Washer cleans the pad BETTER, much FASTER, and does not prematurely damage the velcro backing. No kidding, these pads are much cleaner than when washed in a 30 minute machine cycle.

Pockets' review is excellent. I'd like to throw out a few warnings though. After all, you are putting a power tool into a bucket of water.

Not to insult anyone's intelligence, but this is important... be sure to plug into a GFCI (the garage and kitchen type electrical wall plugs with the pop-out buttons.) These will short out more readily if you accidentally dunk the motor, protecting you from electrical shock.

Fill the System carefully to the correct level... no more.

Push the pad onto the spring loaded Grit Guard only momentarily touching the water level. (I don't know if the instructions were not clear on this point, or if I'm just dense.... most probably the latter.) Lift back up slightly and pull the buffer trigger, spinning the pad on the Grit Guard, slightly above the water.

I say all this because I originally mistakenly kept the pad in the water as I started the machine, splashing up into the motor... not good.

Don't let me scare you off. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

I kinda like the LC VC pads, and the flat ones. I don't know why they don't manufacture these anymore.

Pads look nice for quick spin in that thing.
 
I already have a pad washer and it can clean 30 pads at a time.
It will clean them while I go do something else. I highly recommend everyone to buy one it is called a washing machine. :rofl

It would be my luck that the old washing machine we have would give up the ghost and the wife would blame it on the pads. I guess for now the kitchen sink will work for cleaning and spinning them on the machine will dry em. Grandson thinks drying them is great and loves the dogs reaction when sprayed.
