Griot's wash bucket: will it roll off my driveway?

The only thing keeping me from buying this bucket is the wheels. I have a slope on my drive way. It's not steep but it is a slope. I'm wondering if the wheels on this wash bucket actually roll away on me.

Thanks.

Each Bucket Dolly is fitted with five lockable casters and is built to withstand up to 250 pounds

Tonynca,

I own the Griots wash bucket myself and it works fine on a flat surface but, if you driveway has any kind of a slope it will roll down as it does not have any locking casters.

You can pop one of the wheels out and head down to your local hardware store and buy one locking caster to remedy the problem though.

JCturbo T is correct, I was thinking of the original GritGuard dolly, apologies

Far be it from me to take business away from GG...and I'm usually the last guy with advice on how to save a buck, but you can often find those exact same buckets (minus the GG logo) at places like Home Depot for a much lower price.

Says the guy with four of the Griot's-branded ones :o

Oh, and Welcome to Autopia, tonynca

Those *are* nice buckets. I took the washmedia rest/grit guard-like thingie out of mine, like it better that way.

I'll second that, got mine from Home Depot years ago. It's blue, accepts casters. I don't use it, LOL. Sits in the hallway linen closet storing junk. :o

I, too, balked at the price of the Griots wash bucket when I first placed my order.

But if you price out the price of the bucket, gamma lid, grit guard, and wheeled dolley for a 5 gallon setup you are already over the asking price for the Griots unit. If you catch autoanything during one of their (many) sales you can get it for around $35 with free shipping.

Like Accumulator stated you can get the bucket by itself at the likes of Home Depot or the internet Windows101 and then add the accessories or search the net for Unger or Eurow wash bucket but sometimes a one-stop-shop is the way to go. I was surprised that the wheels that came with the Griots are as nice as they are.

I own two-five gallon buckets, one with the Grit Guard, and one with the Dirt Dropper, but much prefer to use my Griots wash bucket as I like that is is low and wide as I don't have to stick my arm halfway in the bucket to scrape off my mitt (although the Dirt Dropper is much nicer than the Grit Guard in that respect) and the wheels make it that much more easier

to move about the car.
