Griots Stage 5 Detail?

Has anyone heard of this?

I looked on the Griots site and could find no data on it.

A customer just purchased a new car and the seller claimed to have just gone through a Griots Stage 5 detail. Dont know if it was just BS or a real process.

Ill be posting pictures of it shortly for you all to enjoy.

Huh, I never heard of that either, and it's not mentioned in any of the latest catalogs (uhm...I mean "handbooks" ;) ).

You gonna redo it, or does it look OK?

It's not bad. It just looks like a used car prep done by a novice. No care taken at all.

It's a strip and start over job.

Leatherique x2

12 hrs of polishing SS paint

High-end carnauba LSP (Got to keep it 80's)

Jdoreia- Ah, that's the ss paint car you mentioned in your other thread, huh?

Heh heh, can't blame it's condition on the Griot's stuff, that's just shoddy work.

You'll have it looking swell in not time :D Yeah, gotta love high-quality single stage all right :xyxthumbs

That's the car Accumulator. Its already looking new, Leatherique cleaned the seats, M105 resurfaced the paint.

Desoto- good call there. I think the seller just wanted to make the car sound as I it was specially maintained.

+One ^

I think they were trying to capitalize on the Griot's name. No product will protect your vehicle from shoddy work. Unfortunately, it can cast a bad name on Griot's whent the culprit is the dealer hack job.

looks nice, I hate them things man, I probaly detailed 200 hundred of them older ones. That paint is thin on them edges. looks good so far!

It's likely the same as a "Stage 5 built motor" or something like that. In other words, it's a BS marketing gimmick to make it sound better. Some companies do offer staged products, I know. But it sounds like the seller made it into a gimmick. Oh well, at least you got it looking nice.

So what stage detailing do you do? :P
