Anyone with the new Griot DA? Sounds like the most powerfull besides the Flex. And a lifetime warranty! Any imput?

this is starting to interest me more as well. they offer the lifetime warranty which is nice, but is handled through where you buy it from (unless you buy it direct from griots, you go straight through them). i'm hoping someone will do some sort of video of it in action so we can get an idea (i know it would be better to use it in person) what it's like...

Don't bother with their 3" polisher, friggin under powered POS that I wish I'd never bought.

maybe you can return it to the vendor you bought it from and get a credit or something... :nixweiss

At Griot's Garage, we want you as a customer for life. Everything you purchase from us comes with a lifetime guarantee against defect. We want you to Enjoy our quality products for 180 days and have fun with them! If you don't like it for any reason during this time, return it for a full refund or credit. After that, you're covered with our lifetime guarantee against defect, in which we will either repair it, replace it, or credit your purchase price if we are able to do neither. Some items have a life span during normal use and they wear out. Our warranty does not include replacement of such items after normal use. Of course our guarantee doesn't cover abuse... But you already knew that.

Customers for life. That's our guarantee.

The new Griots DA is one of the top DA's out there, Mike said when he looked at the three; PC, Griots, and Megs, he felt like GG one was more powerful. I am considering getting it as my old PC needs to be updated but dont wanna get a flex.

I didn't buy direct from them, I'll see if AG wants it back. But, just a word up for ya'll - it's crap.

Meghan at AG said that they would honor all Griots warranty.

I haven't contacted AG direct, I did look at their website and it stated returns must be within 30 days and in original packing - well I'm past the 30 days by 4 days and although I have the Griots box, the AG box is long gone. I'll call and check - nothing to lose.

Other side of the fence here- I like mine and find it OK for what it is. It *will* do some work with M105 (esp. with 3.5" PFW pads) and overall I'd say I really like the little thing.

But then I killed my first one after just a little while...we'll see how long the replacement holds up.

Note that Griot's can be funny about returns...I wouldn't plan on sending something back for replacement more than once or twice.

I honestly expected more than a fat electric toothbrush, I e-mail AG, explained the situation and am waiting on their reply.

I have used the new Griots Machine a lot in the past few months. Here is my review of it.

Very powerful machine a night and day difference compared to the old one. It is a very powerful machine and vibrates way less then my PC. Corrects with ease.

Only a few problems i have with it.

1. The plastic motor housing breaks easy. I droped one from about a 3' height and it shattered. Griots replaced free of charge.

2. The backing plate is not the best. I had one machine that i was leaning on pretty hard and the backing plate broke off of the metal mount. Now it probably is not made for the abuse we put it through but it was still a bit frustrating. However Griots once again fixed it with no cost to us.

Overall i love the machine. I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

If anyone has any specific questions on it let me know.
