I have been a member of this site for awhile, but this is my first post. Since I started detailing, this site has been an invaluable source of information. I guess I haven't posted before because almost anything one wants to know can be found by searching.

I first got interested in detailing back in the summer of 1996 when I bought an '89 Acura Integra LS. It was an automatic with powder blue paint. The first detailing products I ever bought were a Mother's 3 step system and some cloth diapers. I didn't have a clue what I was doing, but it felt great to be able to make even a bit of difference in the appearance of my vehicle. Sadly, I got rear-ended while at a dead stop and my Teg was totalled out. I still miss that car to this day.

I now have a '98 Flamenco Black Pearl Integra GS-R. It wasn't perfect when I bought it 3 years ago, and it isn't perfect now. I recently backed into my sisters' car and did some minor damage to my bumper. It didn't crack, but the paint chipped badly. I thought about tackling the job myself, but I'd feel better letting my mechanic/body shop guy repaint it for me. Other than that, it's in pretty good shape. Sure, it has scratches, minor dings and dents, and a few rock chips from daily bypass driving. But it is my car, and I am dedicated to making it look the best I can.

I have used what I thought was a wide variety of products and tools until I started reading this site. You guys are crazy :shocked For my cars' paint, I mainly use DACP, AIO, UPP, and P21s. I'm not unhappy with the results, but black is a bear to keep mar-free and I'm always looking for something better. I have found my PC to be indespensible.

I will be adding some items real soon, such as a foam gun, and maybe even a rotary if I can find the eggs to give it a shot. So many new products come out all the time I find it impossible to keep up.

Besides detailing, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful g/f. I go to school part-time at a community college. I am an avid bowler and one of the better ones in the city. I am a huge Atlanta Falcons and Florida Gators fan. I also enjoyed weight training until I tore a muscle in my rotator cuff.

Alright, I think that's enough about me. I will probably not post much because most every member here knows twice as much as I do. Maybe some pics of the Teg are in order. It is time for a spring renewal...Rockford winters are rough on a black car. Thanks to all those that took the time to read my intro.
