green polish&finish 7.5 curved edge ccs pad

Hey gang . . . im looking for anyone who has actually used a 7.5 curved green polishing pad by lake country, on a rotary.



i bought a ton of ccs pads from autogeek. they are a lake country pad with a wolfgang logo on them, made specifically for autogeek. as many of you know, the 6.5 pads are backordered . . . but i did get my 7.5 curved pads in . . .



first noticed how different the texture was on the gray pad which lake country advertises as a polishing and finishing pad, designed for products like AIO, OPS, MZ FAJ, etc . . .



the texture of the pad seems much rougher than the yellow cut, orange light cut and white polihing pads . . . it kinda freaked me out a little.



but, i slapped a pad on my rotary, fired it up after prepping the pad with some qd and poly seal, and went to town on a champagne 2001 chevy 1500 silverado reg. cab.



im just looking for thoughts and oppinions on this specific pad, how it works, what you think of the texture and roughness of the pad's foam . . .etc . . . whatever it might be thanks in advance.
 
Hm... My order of CCS pads were also backordered, and I got my replacement order of 1 orange, 1 white, and 1 gray pad and few days ago. The gray pad is significantly softer than the white and orange pad. I'm not sure how your gray pad could be more aggressive than the yellow, orange, and white. Is it softer to the touch compared to the other pads?
 
dude . . . this pad felt more rough and coarse than the yellow, orange and white polishing pads from lake country . . . it is also more porus. i am still trying to determine how well i think they work (the gray polish/finish pad) but iv only tried them on one car that was a very light color . . . i think im gonna give lake country a call . . .
 
actually, i dont know if i clarified that . ..



i only ordered yellow, orange, white and these new "green" polish/finish combo pad. i didnt order the black(also called gray) or blue pads . . .
 
I have a big green pad and I thought it was on par with the white pad as far as courseness goes. I also have a few 7.5" VC pads and thought the foam was totally different than the 6.5" counterpart and hated how they worked.



I like my big green pad.
