Great tip for those that use the water flow

rinse method. I use the flow method to rinse my vehicles to rid them of most of the water but it never fails that I lightly hit the vehicle with the tip of the hose by getting to close to the car, so I bought the replacement ends that are plastic and cut off the metal ends and replaced them. Now if I accidentally hit the paint, no chance of damage being done...Maybe I am the only idiot that inadvertantly hits the paint.

CharlesW posted a great tip a long time ago. He basically recommended cutting off a piece of old hose about 2 feet long and using that as the end piece for the flood rinse. It works very well.

What do you mean, "flow method"?

Take of the nozzle and just let a stream of water flow over the car. By doing this there will be very little water to wipe off. 90% of the water sheets off versus using a nozzle it just beads up and stays on the vehicle.

Alternatively, what I have done is bought a multi-pattern spray nozzle. One of the settings is "soak" which disburses water basically in the same manner as if there was no sprayer on the end of the hose. It's plastic so no worries about hitting the paint.
