Great school; HOWEVER.........

Went to a BMW Safety School Saturday. Excellent program and a lot of fun. HOWEVER, as part of the wet skid pad drills, a fire truck shot water from a fire hose as we drove around the pad, trying to experience oversteer and understeer.



It misted rain the rest of the day. I got up Sunday morning to wash my car, and the top parts were covered with WATER SPOTS that were immune to car wash and QD.



I read about 1/2 of the 1008 threads here re: water spots, and finally decided to use vinegar and water, which worked perfectly. [I figured since the Zaino was probably removed by the vinegar, I would go ahead and polish those parts to remove even the tiny imperfections that resided under/in the sealant.]



I now have the first 2 new layers of Z2, but I really wanted to thank those who provided the answer to removing those horrific spots! :xyxthumbs

The ratio is not important , what is important is what works for you.



The bad water spots sometimes require pure vinegar.



With that said, the ratio used here by most is like you said 1 to1:xyxthumbs



Since vinegar is a mild acid it will remove the protection that you had on the car , therefore you will need to reaply your favorites



I use 1/4 vinegar -1/4 alcohol - and 1/2 water for hard water spots on the glass:xyxthumbs

They had a course set up in Ralph Wilson stadium last year. My mom posted the quickest time in her Stratus The "professional drivers" were embarassed.

I used 50/50 on the white vinegar and water... the spots came right off. Actually, it didn't even smell after I washed it with Z7, QDed it with Z6 and added the Z2. Smells like Zaino again now!
