There are plenty of sites on-line with tips. Autobody Store is one of my favorites. Len the owner sells some DVD's /Tapes on everything from bodywork to painting.
I've only been doing it for about 4 or 5 years now and let me say get your wallet ready first of all. The next thing is be ready to try some things out yourself. No book, DVD, or tape can take the place of hands on.
