Hi all,

Thanks for the tips! I've been detailing my own cars for a few years now, but you guys have taken me to the next level. Here are some pictures of my 2003 SL 500. It's truly a bummer that the sun's not out, but c'est la vie, as they say.

I've been using Zaino for years and haven't experimented with anything else, so I don't know if I've got the best combination for this color or not. But here it is:

Z7, Z18, Z7

Z2, Z6, Z2, Z6, Z2, Z6 (with ZFX)

Z10 on the inside, Z16 on the tires and rubber.

If we ever get a sunny day, I'll try again.

nice... you owe me some pics in the sun though :D

check out this link if u want to see a different combo/look:

SL55AMG

what do u think?

The SL 55 is a gorgeous car and those wheels certainly give it some extra oomph. Good thing this guy has you to keep it looking great!

I must be getting old -- I think the AMG rides are too harsh, so I took the "small" engine and the "soft" ride. I did get a chance to try a SL 600 a few weeks ago and I thought it was spectacular! Fantastic accelleration and great engine sound with the same ride that I have. Shame I couldn't get the better half to let me get one ;)

I'm sad to say that there's no sun today either. We have the Club Holiday party today, so I think we're going to get wet!

I should add that I do love the AMG styling, so I have the AMG sports package which makes the SL 500 look "pretty much" like the SL 55.
