I see a lot of time people on here will characterize paint as hard and soft, and honestly, I don't know the difference...so I'm not sure what I need to use here.
Quick review of my paint: I bought the car exactly one year ago. It's a black clearcoat. When it's freshly washed and not in direct sunlight, you might be fooled into thinking it's a 1-2 month old car. When it's in direct sunlight and you are close, you can see those microscratches/some swirls from washing/etc. There are also some random light scratches here or there from who knows what.
1) What color pad do I start with?
2) Will Wolfgang Swirl Remover 3.0 be too tough? I thought about getting Poorboys...but honestly the 1, 2, 2.5, and 3 confused me because I didn't know if my car needed a 2.5 or a 2 (or even a 1).
