Got my Mytee 8070 extractor today...pics

Its smaller then I thought it would be. Good thing IMO. Will easily fit in the beater or any car. I don't know if I will install the handle or not.

Soap mix goes in the tank on the left. On the right is the recovery tank. You pour the old stuff out where the hose hooks on. Each tank holds 3 gallons.

A big thanks to Grouse for directing me to the right chemicals. I still need to get a gallon of bac-out by bioklean.



Everything is concentrated. The dry slurry will do thirty 3 gallon mixes.

Oh yes, I can always depend on the beater. No cleaning of the carpets since I bought the car and cleaned the carpets 18 months and 20k miles ago. :D

Don't know if I want to mix the chemicals just for a quick job on the beater. I might just spray some folex, give a light scrub and extract. The rest of the carpet is spotless.
 
Thanks! I got it new on ebay from an authorized dealer in MS. I hit the auction with 1 second left. Total shipped was $672. The next best price I could of got it for was $730 shipped.
 
Nice! that looks smaller than I expected it to be. If it was drained, can it be stored (say in a hatchback) on its back or side? Or does it always have to be stored upright? Too bad the hand tool doesn't have a clear plastic so you can see if what you're pulling up is still dirty or not.
 
I just purchased the Mytee Lite II as well. I used a couple times so far and it does work very well. I purchased mine from Detail King. I did not install the handle, to bulky and you dont need it. I wrap the cord around the top and store the attachment in one of my tool containers.



The hose however, I did need to buy more of the velcro straps and wrap the hose better. It only came with four straps. I added about 5 more to keep the chemical hose and vac hose tight together. It also helps keep the quick connect for the nozzle up and stored out of your way.
 
Wow that isn't big at all, definitely fit into a car well. Let us know how the products turn out!
 
Let's see some after pics of the Beater. I'd like to get one of these for the stairs in my parents house. The dogs love to track mud in. I swear they search for that one patch of mud in the back yard.

Once its drained you can store it anyway you like. I think both sections will fit in the trunk of the beater upright, side by side of course. From what I understand the only downside to the clear tools is they won't last as long as the metal.

Wade, I have an older floor wand. I am thinking of getting one like this. Could also rent one from most rental places. I am sure it will work better then pouring heated water into the hoover unit we have now.
 
Nice move with that. I just got the Aztec from Danase and I am very impressed so far. I would have rathered the Mytee but 7 plus was too much for me to dish out at the moment.
 
Took a full 20 mins for the water to get "hot" Once it got hot it maintained the heat well. But I was not doing a large area. Just the drivers mat and carpet.



Process:

Vac

Folex applied 1:1, light agitation with megs interior brush.

Let dwell for 15 mins.

Extract front to back and side to side.

i find that leaving the car turned on for 20 minutes with the heat and AC on focused on the floor and the panel work well for drying as well if you dont have a big fan like that...especially on the mobile details...which is why I do the interior first if working alone



I didnt install the handle/basket on mine either...couldnt figure out what to put in it...lol



looks like Folex did an OK job, but I bet those other chemicals will work much better! I just got some carpet shampoo from my detail place, but when it runs out, I am going to go with some of grouse's recommendations...

Looks like a great job, definitley looks like it was worth the investment as well. Hoping to pick one up sometime soon...

can this been run on regular 220volt? How many amps does it put out? Is there somewhere we can go to look at the specs?

From what Grouse told me, DS is for carpets and dirty seats. AFR is for seats that are not that dirty.



I see that Pro's choice has a new red remover called "Red one" No more need for mixing as it comes in one bottle. Check it out on ebay.
