Forgot that I had a Bosch 1250 DEVS. Used to work for Bosch and got one before I left but never thought of using it as a polisher. I am new to detailing and need advice on a pad package to get that would emcompass all that I will need. Any thoughts? Thanks

When I was considering the Bosch, I don't remember having to think about a backing plate, so I think Bosch has its own backing plates. 6" in diameter? Do you have one that is geared for paint polishing and has a velcro backing?

If so, exceldetail has some nice Erasure 6.5" foam pads made by Lake Country (LC). I'd get two light cutting pads (orange) and two polishing pads (white). That way, if you drop one or need another, you have one available. If you're going to apply your LSP by machine, then I'd add two finishing pads (black) as well.

Patrick (Exceldetail) also has Optimum Polish, Compound, and Hyper Compound in various sizes and sampler packages.

If you don't want to go with the Optimum line, many folks here like the Menzerna polishes. I got mine at Autogeek, and they carry LC pads too (just not the Erasures). There are other online sources for Menzerna too.
