Goodbye Mopsy

Goodbye Mopsy, 14 years was not enough. You stayed longer than Olde English Sheepdogs are supposed to. You gave us unconditional love and affection. You were protective of us and you could be a clown at times. You were gentle with everyone, including those ornery ferrets. I could see the compassion in your eyes when you looked at me and an intelligence that I can`t even begin to understand. I hope that someday I will see you again and you`ll be there by my side once more. You were more than just a dog to me, you were my friend.

That 14 years *was* a pretty good run for an Olde English Sheepdog, but I sure understand how it wasn`t enough. Heh heh, even got along with the ferrets!

I`m sorry for your loss. It is a difficult thing to deal with. We put our little pup to sleep a year and a half ago. We hope that someday we will meet him again at the "Rainbow Bridge". It`s an amazingly beautiful poem.

Sorry for your loss. They truly become a part of your family. Unconditional love everyday. The drive to the vet for the last time is one of the hardest things I`ve ever done. You will meet again!
