Good Tire Swipe?

Where can I order a good tire swipe?



I really like the the texture and contour of the Cobra/Pinnacle swipe, but I'm only getting about 30 sets per side...and there isn't anything else I want to order from Autogeek right now.

Griots new one is great ( kinda looks like a paint pad) Scott introduced us to this one.

As far as contoured swipes..if I find them real cheap (closeout) I will buy them but I find a bag of sponges for a dollar to be just as effective..plus you just toss them when you are finished.

I'd rather order and pay shipping than waste time and gas...not to many suitable otc places here in the heart of San Diego.

The blue and red, hook and loop applicators?
 
I have always used the Eagle One tire swips (black/gray and yellow) but I'd like to try the Griot's version.

:werd: I like EOs, but their longevity isn't great, especially depending on which product I use.



The sponges do work great, and I use them more often.

I also use the Eagle One Tire Swipes. I only use it with 303 Protectant though and my first one has lasted be 4 months and still going strong.



I've also used the Viper flexible foam applicators from CMA and they worked ok, but noticed that the broke appart pretty after application of Meguiar's Endurance Gel to 4 SUV tires. The EO Tire Swipe is available locally, so I don't think that I will be ordering any more of the Viper ones.
 
go to an upholstery shop and buy their scrap foam.......doesn't get any cheaper and they always have tons. I KNOW SD has plenty of upholstery shops.
 
I also like using the EO tire swipes. I generally get 3 months of use with my current dressing selection. However, I have noticed that the use of oil-based dressing eat up the applicators fast (~1 month). I cannot explain why, but it definitely lowers the useability timeframe.
 
I have been using this for YEARS I go to BED BATH AND BEYOND and buy those dish washing applicator without the scrubbers. I just spray the conditioner on the applicator and wipe the tire the long handle work great.
 
I don't like the EO it doesn't seem to spreed the product to well for me. I went to Home Depot and picked up a foam paint brush (4'' wide) and it onlt cost .79 for one. It works great and spreads the spoduct pretty well.

i use those too



i also use them for trim ( the smaller ones)
 
You know, I've used the foam paintbrush for Pb's TR...that's really a great idea for tire dressing...more control during application and cleaner hands...I'll have to try that!
 
Setec the foam paint brush works awesome for TR and for BnB I use a lot less using the foam brush with BnB. I have a 32oz bottle I bought back in Jan, using solely on my car it just now looks like I've been using it. I run a line across the tip of the brush and paint it on.......
