good sealant?

other than klasse SG, what are some other ones that are as good if not better and affordable?

is there anything i should follow up on before the sealant after i use OP?
 
I have used many and my new favorite is Wolfgang, currently on sale at Autogeek btw. You can use the Wolf glaze before and it does make it look wetter. But normally, no final polish, then sealant.
 
Found a new love for Jeff's Werkstatt products. Has more or less replaced the klase twins (though I use AIO for other things) in my arsenal.
 
There are tons of good sealants out there, right now FK2180 is my favorite for durability, Duragloss 105 for light colors, Poorboys EX for dark colors. The Zaino line is also very good, I have no personal experience with it but a number of people whose opinions I respect like it alot. Lately I've found myself using a lot of FK Pink Wax which is a "sealant-y" carnuba blend, it gives the sealant gloss and durability with a great "candy shell" look that I find hard to duplicate.



If you like the look of Klasse SG but find it painful to use (lord knows I do), Jeff's Werkstatt Acrylic Jett is supposed to be an improved version of the old favorite.



Spray sealants are also becoming very popular, like Acrylic Jett Trigger and Duragloss Aquawax (my sister's gold camry gets a coat of it after every wash now, and that car looks better with 106,000 miles than it ever did new). Trigger and DG AW seem to have beaten the old spraywax curse of poor durability, as well.
 
Is OP enough before i use poorboy EX? i'm trying to find stuff to use with my PC since i got the whole set of pads. which brand of products is better with a pc?
 
OP is fine before EX, I've heard it finishes down quite nicely. There is no "better" brand of products for a PC, and you have to decide what you are looking for. I use the Menzerna line because of it's quick break down time. I do not like the dusting, however, and am considering trying Optimum. Just use whatever works for you.
 
what exactly is dusting? on some products, when i wipe, it ends up as white dots and it is hard to get it all off the car. is that dusting?

i am having trouble finding a place to buy the products cheap because i live in vancouver. the only choice is carcaresmart.com which i can go pickup. their brands are limited. i was so set on getting the klasse twins but i hear that a lot of people would not get SG again if they had to cuz of the difficulty of use so i really dont know what to choose as a sealant now

I'm an amateur and I've had no problem applying KSG by hand. It's real easy.



You might also consider Meguiar's Synthetic Sealant #21.
 
but would i have problem applying SG with a PC since i need to apply a bit more because the pad absorbs some while trying not to leave a large amount on the surface.

For affordable, the Duragloss #105 Total Performance Polish is unbeatable, especially followed by the Aquawax. Guarantee you this combo will rival or better Klasse, for much cheaper too!
