He is selling (2) for $100 each. They are brand new and never opened. Not sure what the going price is now at a reputable site, so just asking.

The PC is a good starter tool, however I'd also suggest considering the Ridgid 2611 from Home Depot. It already comes with a 6 inch backing plate and has a higher OPM range of 10,000 for $129. It comes with a 3 year warranty and they offer a lifetime warranty option when registering it(send a copy of your receipt). The only downside is that you have to use 6.5 inch pads with it.

If you can find the older 2610 it has the same single screw type design as the PC and a PC backing plate should work. The aluminum housing is rather large so the 6 inch backing plate is the safest option. The 2611 has 4 holes for mounting the backing plate. You might be able to find another brand backing plate to fit but again the housing size is such that a 6 inch plate is safest. Stop by a Home Depot and you'll get a better understanding.

Home Depot stocks a Ryobi 5 inch backing pad with 4 mounting holes. The holes lined up with the holes on the 2611 so I believe it will work.

I recently bought a rigid 2611, and tried out a larger pad, seemed to work o.k. I wondered if there was any specific reason I should use only 6.5 inch pads with it
