Gonna sell the GN

Well I have to sell it because of financial priorities. This will be a hard loss for me. I hope I can get another one in the future. Anyways, I have two possible buyers coming this Saturday to look at the car. Any thing I should do, besides detail it of course, before they come? Anyone know of any websites that have good tips on selling cars? Thanks.

Oh and here's a link to my car pics

I don't know anything about this car. IS it fast? Good luck with the sale.

Just be sure its clean, no fault codes or check engine lights appearing.

Blackmirror,

I really regret your loss. A GN would be terribly hard to let go of, so I know you must really have no option. I hope your situation turns around for you. Try to to remember they are just cars. Yeah, right .

I'm sure you have your reasons. But you can't get many decent cars for 11K. Don't make a mistake you'll regret.:(

It hurts to let go of our babies!

Warn the buyers that you have additional buyers coming close to the time you think they will be leaving. Have friends stop by to "look at the car" with "serious offers" in mind. This psychological pressure combined with Autopian skills should boost your asking price, or at least guarantee it.

Yes.

Very.

Sorry to hear that you're forced to sell the GN. :( I assume you already exhausted all other chances of keeping it? I would be darn sure that this is something that I must do, because once it's gone.....

Yeah I agree with Brad.

But if it's got to go, I wish you the best of luck with selling it.

I need some help selling this car on ebay. I looked at my ebay site and I have 3 hours and 35 minutes left. When the time runs out what am I supposed to do?

Contact the buyer and arrange for the money transfer. Also need to arrange for the buyer to come get the car, or ship it.

Well, I believe that's that for the auction. I think you just need to figure out why there wasn't interest in it, address that, and put it up again. But I haven't sold anything on Ebay for a while (and never anything like a car). :nixweiss

Ok here's the update. I got a bidder who put 9k on ebay. Then I got local people who saw the car and are willing to give me 9500 for it. And they have cash right away. They were ready to buy the car today but I told them I have other buyers coming to look at the car. What should I do next?

Did you put in the auction that it's void if you make a local sale? I hope so. eBay auctions are a legal, binding contracts. If that guy wins for $9,000 and you don't sell to him, he could legally sue you for breach of contract.

ya what he said!:wavey

Really? I didn't know about that. But the people that came today....I'm sure they found out about my car through ebay but didn't make a bid. Should I just tell them to make a bid? Time is running out. I don't wanna screw this up!:scared

Update...car is sold! The people that came here bid on it already. It says 42 minutes and 9 seconds time left. How do I end the auction?

can't end an auction "early" if there's less than 12 hours remaining. It's a safety feature to protect bidders from just such an occurrence.
