Gonna order some Optimum.

Hey guys, from what I've been reading here and on other websites, I've decided to order some Optimum polish. Also, I'd like to get one of their compounds. Should I get the hyper compound or the regular?

get OC...

Check out this chart for a rough idea on how much cut each of Optimum products provide: Polish Chart

I personally have OHC and OC as my two cutting products. If OC doesn't do the job, i move to OHC (or a more aggressive pad)

Well guys, the package came this week and I got a chance to use 'em today. I didn't try the OC too much 'cause I was kinda scared. But the Polish...fell in love with it. I tried it on part of my hood that wasn't too bad, just to get used to it. I worked it for a bit then prematurely wiped it off...I kinda knew that it wasn't broken but I was still just playing with it...and the gloss was great. There were a few holograms (like I said, didn't break down fully), but they were very light and I had to catch the sun just right to see 'em.

Anyways, thanks for the help in deciding to get it. Can't wait 'til my Edge pads come so I can try it with them : )

Optimum Polish has nice long working time but it did not correct enough for me. This was before OC and OHC came out so I moved on to menzera.

I have OHC and OP, and both work great. I dont think OHC has *that* much cut. So I would always reccomend OHC over OC if you are getting OP as well.

Personally, I would say to get every product optimum makes, period. The only brand I have ever found where they did not have one single product that I was not totally pleased with was optimum. And they are coming out with a new wheel cleaner soon, so I can kiss my big $$$ P21s gel goodbye!

Quoted for truth

I don't mean to thread jack, but does OHC work with just a PC or do you need a rotary? I just have a PC and am thinking about my next polish order and was leaning towards the OP & OC because I was under the impression OHC was designed for rotaries.

thanks.

OHC works well with the Cyclo and UDM, and works okay with the PC. The greater power of the Cyclo and UDM allow OHC to leave a better finish after compounding than the PC.

Belated thanks for the advice.
