Going from Hyper Com to Opt Polish.

My car has very hard paint - white paint. Last fall I polished my car with an orange 5 inch CCS pad and Optimum Compound. OC did a pretty decent job on the swirling by using two passes but still some swirling. My paint was so hard, it finished LSP ready. I went ahead and followed it with Poli-Seal but Poli-Seal really did nothing appearance wise to the paint, only put down a base for my sealant.



Next spring I will polish again with Hyper Compound and a yellow 5 inch CCS pad. Will following that combo with Optimum Polish on a white 5 inch CCS pad be too much of a jump? In other words, will the hazing left over from Hyper Compound and and the yellow pad be too much for Optimum Polish on the white pad? Should I take a smaller step down to Optimum Compound on an orange pad THEN go to Optimum Polish on a white pad?

hyper on orange pad, then op on white should do the trick...yellow might marr too much



take a small bottle of a mix of hyper and OP and you essentially created the same cut as OC...

Yellow might marr too much that Optimum Polish would not be able to clean up after it?
 
he mentioned that combo wasnt enough for him...



yellow is an aggressive cutting pad that will mar in most cases...only way for me to tell you yes or no is to actually do it...I cant tell you it will or not...try it out....

Is hyper really that much more aggressive than OC? I assumed I would need to go up one in pad aggressiveness also. I will give it a try next spring.
