Glue suggestion for vinyl tear?

I have a 1/4" rip in the vinyl that surrounds a leather seating surface.

Any suggestions for a good "glue/adhesive" to apply to help stop it from spreading?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have a picture of it? If you have the money which would have to be much you could look in the phone book and find someone that does vinyl repairs. I think it would only be around $35-50 for a tear that small.

Go to Auto Zone or other parts dealer and purchase a vinyl repair kit. I have used the permatex brand with great success repairing tears. The hardest part is matching the color. Also, heat the little ironing tool with a propane torch (being careful to not turn it colors) it is much faster than the recommended method and the extra heat does a better job.
With a little patience, you will never know the tear existed!

I've never tried it to repair vinyl but Gorilla Glue (polyurethane glue) might work. It's supposed to be the strongest off-the-shelf glue you can buy and it's waterproof but make sure that you only use a small amount because it expands while curing. Elmer's also makes the same type of glue but they call theirs Ultimate Glue and it's cheaper if you can find it. I've seen both of them at the local home improvement centers if that helps.
