Gloss coat and bugs

Hello, I was able to complete my polish and gloss coat application over the past few days. The Gloss Coat was applied yesterday morning at around 9am, I left the car sit in the sun all day long but had to drive during the evening and as a result the front is now splattered with the souls of unlucky insects. I`ve read that one should wait a week to wash the car with soap after applying Gloss Coat but I`ve also heard that bugs should be removed as soon as possible. What would be the best thing to do, leave the bugs until next week when I wash the car, or remove them now? I have ONR in that I can use either as a QD or wash solution, would that be gentile enough to not mess with the fresh coating? I searched and couldn`t find an answer so thanks for your responses in advance.

There are so many hours that they dont want the coating exposed to water.. I believe it was the first 12 hours.. What does the syringe say?

The syringe doesn`t say anything about it.

what about the gloss coat syringe? lol kidding

edit: but I am interested too because sometimes I turn over coated vehicles before 24 hours curing and they obviously will get bugs driving back home

I usually give them a few oz of Spray and Wipe to use

OC2.0 was 24 hours.
And hasn`t been available for over a year now..... talking about the new Gloss Coat that replaced the OC2.0, but thanks anyhow.

Anyhow, It`s been 24hours so I used some ONR and fresh RagCompany Micro fiber and gently washed the bugs off then dried gently with a pluffle drying towel. Seems like it should be ok.

One more question, how long should I wait before toping with with Collinite 845? Should I even top it?

Skip the topper unless you enjoy waxing. Topping a coating with wax ruins the coatings dirt and water repellant abilities.

Always remove bug guts as soon as possible. The Gloss Coat probably cures in 24 hours but it doesn`t matter in
this case. Clean the bug guts off and if finish is ok re-apply Gloss Coat.

Why would you top a coating with 845?

Just curious, not hating on 845 at all (used to use it regularly before discovering products I like better).

Well, never did a coating before so didn`t know if toping it with a wax like 845 for 476 would be a good idea or not to add yet another layer of protection. So far I haven`t topped it with anything. What do you like better then 845?
I did run into a small problem with the gloss coat. A few weeks after applying I got a large bird dropping on the hood. Of course it just missed the PPF on the front of the hood so it was on the paint. I was able to wipe it off before it even dried but it left some decent etching in the coating/paint. It didn`t go away on it`s own leaving it in the sun or anything so I used some M205 to polish it away but that removed my coating in that 6" diameter spot where I polished. I don`t really want to spend another $60 for 10ml more of product when I need about 2-3 drops to coat that area.

Anyone out there got a tiny bit of gloss coat left over they would be willing to let me buy and send to me?
