Well, "glaze" use to be a term that body shops used to refer to applying a product that would fill in sanding/buffing marks. Nowadays, the term more often refers to a product rich in oils to give a deep, wet appearance (Meguiar's #7 - Show Car Glaze)...... and also hide imperfections. (kind of like it's original intent)
A polymer is a man-made chemical........ so to speak. In detailing terms it refers to one of the main components in "Synthetic" waxes (polymers) as opposed to a "Natural" wax..... mainly carnauba.
Polymers in general are supposed to be more durable than natural waxes............ but that depends on a number of things.
Hope this helps.
