Glass Polish - Scratches

Can anyone recommend a good glass polish that actually takes out scratches. I was browsing CMA and their glass polish seems more geared toward taking out grime off the glass.

On the drivers side windows of my X5 (hasn't even hit 3K yet) there are 3 scratches in the same area. They're about 2.5 long and I can feel the scratch. I checked and it's on the outside (I was hoping it was just the tint)

Is there any product on the market that would remove the scratches.

You will need Cerium oxide to even attempt to remove the scratches. Even then, if they are deep they might not come out. Oh, you will need a rotary too, a PC or hand application ain't gonna cut it for scratch removal on glass.

You must use extreme care when polishing glass, it distorts easily.

If it were my truck I'd go to a GOOD glass shop because I'd consider this problem beyond my level of expertise.

Our shop can remove scratches without distortion. I would go to www.glasweld.com and call them and see if they have a tech in or close to you. We DON"T use the oxide polish but rather a jeweler's rouge type (WHITE) to polish out scratches and acid rain and water spots. These scratches should run you around $135.00 to remove so you may call and price a new windshield to see what is the better deal for you. Our polisher is a 6000 rpm makita polisher for glass work. Hope this helps. The car will need to be detailed even if care is taken to properly tape it off with plastic sheets as this process does make a mess somewhat.
