I have been trying to sell certificates for the holidays and have yet to sell any. How to some of you guys advertise this type of sell. If you have any good advice or experience in this area any post would me most helpful

I received a request for a gift certificate this week. I guess I will head over to OfficeMax or Staples to pick up a generic one.

I would advertise this on my website, but my webmaster is MIA and does not return my e-mails or phone calls !!!

Dean, if you need things doen on your web, and know all of your passwords, you can get in touch with me and i will make it say or do anything that you want it too.

I designed one for my business that I'll take the name off and post later if I go to the print shop tonight. Then just put your name on it and you're good to go. I hope the file fits.

Here is the Gift certificate that i use. I have them printed on a Xerox Fiery Laser color printer (it is a $50,000 printer) Some kinkos have that machine available. It gives me outstanding color, and something that i know someone couldn't just sit at home and reproduce. I have a razor board that i cut them on (i print 3 to a page) and i make sure that the color bars on the left "bleed" off the page. It looks real good with no white space around the sides!

Here is the source file, it is created in Microsoft Publisher 2003, and is almost 5MB.

Just finished whipping one up in Photoshop. I've had a handful of requests. I couldn't find many samples of detailing specific samples. I would have liked to tweak it a bit, but I need to get these out to people like yesterday!

Here's a sample of one of them...

I don't like Gift Certificates.
You get paid Today. Then you have to deliver 4 months down the road.
It always is busy the times people want to redeem them.
I don't try to sell them. If I do it's only for regular customers.
I sold over $600.00 worth of them this week. I think
If you try and push them people get weird. They might think
Your going to rip them off.

I made mine from a program on my computer. It looks like an award or Diploma. I use a wax seal that I got a Staples and tie it with some twine.

Winter sucks, but it brings spring cleaning. That was really nice of you to do with your gift certificate. I havent sold a gift certificate yet in two years. I had a big sign made and it just doesnt work. What Ive learned is that they are great for marketing with other businesses. Its actually how I got most of my x-mas presents for my family this year. Accenting the word "gift" here

tpgsr, thank's for the certifacate layout. As I've said before, I'm not a computer guniess and this really helps out. I was just asked for a certificate yesterday so this will come in handy. I have to drop one off by Thursday so......thanks again!
