Getting closer...

Well, FINALLY I'm making progress on the SVT Focus. After Chris from eShine.ca set me up with the proper LC pads and some Tornado MF towels (Thanks again Chris!), and going to the coarser SSR2.5, I've managed to correct 95% of the finish. Some of it, like the urathane bumpers and the hood required 3 or 4 passes with the SSR2.5, but the results I am happy with. On the surface finishes (hood, roof) I went to SSR2 then 1, but everywhere else I went from 2.5 to 1. I followed this up with Mothers glaze, which added a bit of wetness, but nothing in the league of Blackfire or anything! I worked it on with the PC on 4 using a black 7.5" LC pad. It doesn't like to be worked too long, nor does it need to be...that only makes it harder to buff off. Then I went to the Crystal-Glo!
Today, I laid down the 2nd coat of the Crystal-Glo acrylic sealant (after waiting 4 days for the first coat to cure), and I'm really seeing a difference in the depth.
The next time I wash it (well, the next 3 or 4 times) I'll start layering on the pure carnuba...it's going to look sweet this Canada weekend!
I'll try to get some pictures when I'm done...
