Get more Meg's Gold Class soap, or something different?

A couple years ago, I bought a huge jug of Meg's Gold Class car wash at BJ's or Costco. Well, I'm finally down to the bottom and need to get more soap.

So, here I am asking for advice. Stick with it? I can get a smaller jug at Walmart for less than $10, or should I go with something else? I've got some Poorboy's stuff for other products, and was thinking about their wash. But cost after shippinng for the same amount as the jug of Meg's would be more.

Poorboy's Super Slick & Suds has been my favorite car wash since it came out. It is also a great performer in the foam gun.

BUY what you like, PB'S is good soap but you know what works for you. You wanna use over the counter its fine, in most cases it will depend on price and how much you wanna spend and how much you wash.

There is no wrong answer, depends on you...:yay

I think one key point is just be sure you mix up enough soap no matter what brand you use. I use a minimum of 3 gallons of mixed soap (more on a truck) so I have plenty left. Unlike most, I tend to do tires last with the residue. I am not too neat either since I try to transfer as much soap out in the mitt and splash it on the section prior to wiping it. I then flip the wool mitt over (thumbless) to wipe with the side that still is saturated.

My experiences with a foam gun were disappointing.

23jam makes a good point. If you are satisfied with the Gold Class do you need to switch. I saw that WM has lowered the price to $6/64 oz. jug. That sounds fairly reasonable, but I haven't priced it in a while.

For me all soap seems to do pretty much the same thing they turn a dirty car into a clean one. GC is a good soap it reasonable price and easy to find so unless you just feel like using something different no need to change.
Currently I'm using Duragloss soap and I like it

I concur on all points. :D

Thanks for the input guys. Since the overall consensus is "soap is soap", I just went ahead and got a jug of Meg's GC from Wal-Mart.

The GC is certainly not a bad choice. (It's also the one I use. :))

As far as the "soap is soap" bit, I don't think I have ever used a bad car shampoo.
A review that was very interesting to read was posted at AGOL a while back. The poster started with 5 shampoos and I think he ended up using 7. OTC and Boutique. All seemed to work pretty good. Some were better at some things than others, but all were acceptable. Car Shampoo Observations

If you want to make the Meg GC feel slick and nice to use add a ounce of DP 4-1 into your soap bucket. You will love the results.

The previous iteration had some water softening claims. I'm thinking that might add to the "feel". I know I put an ounce or so per 3 gallon of water in my rinse buckets.

I may have to do an experiment again but when I put my hand in a bucket of rinseless wash it never feels slick like traditional soap. I have tried adding ONR to (maybe 1/4 ounce) a bucket of PB SSS. I noticed that it suppressed the suds somewhat and it had a little dirt film buildup on the sides that you get with rinseless washes.
