General PC question.....

Used my PC yesterday on my Daughters Honda and started to clean the pads when I noticed the foam pads were still kinda wet. Is this usual ? Should they be caked enough to be scrapeable with a brush ? Does it mean I'm using to much product/not polishing long enough?

Car looked good tho..........

Usually, we use too much product. What has been working for me in cleaning pads is:

spray some Simple Green or pad cleaner on them and let sit for a few minutes

Rinse under hot water and keep squezzing, squeezing, and squeezing

soak in bucket with liquid Tide

rinse a few hours later, keep squeezing.

This usually does the trick.

Then squeeze out all the water you can, shake them, put on PC and spin excess water off, put in a towel and press down, let sit and then they're good.

Thats what I did more or less.....LOTS of Squeezzzzing. But I think what I'm trying to get at is.... should the pads be caked enough after drying a while or is this normal?

if your pad gets too saturated with product, take a clean microfiber towel in one hand and turn the pc on in the other, and squeeze/push the foam pad into the microfiber towel to help rid of the excess polish, wax, etc..
