Gasoline Spill

Hi All!

I had a gas can leak in the back of my truck. Any suggestions for removing the gasoline smell??? The truck has a slide in bed liner. It also has a camper shell. I have washed the bed out several times and leave the windows and back open as much as possible but there is still a noticeable smell after everything has been closed up.

Thanks.

If you haven't already (can't quite tell from your post), pull the bedliner out and really scrup it (both sides in case it got through) and really clean the bed while it's out. I'd use something on the bed itself (like AIO) to clean the paint and something beyond "regular cleaners" on the bedliner too. Maybe something like undiluted EFHI or a citrus based cleaner, and give it a long dwell time. It could be that the gas really soaked into the bedline material, so this might be something that's gonna take time.

Oh, and I'd pull the camper shell so things get sunlight and fresh air. Yeah, I know it'll be a hassle, but I think it'll help a lot.

Thanks Accumulator. I have some Orange Blast I'll try today and if that doesn't do the trick then I'll pull the liner and as last resort pull the shell.
