well, that depends.... most of the time I just pull in because its easier to see what I'm doing and be sure I won't hit anything.. but sometimes I do back in if I will be leaving the vehicle parked in there for a long time... (more than, say, overnight..)

I have to back in. I only have a one car garage and Jennifer gets home after I do so I back in so its easier for me to drive out around her car in the morning. Its a duplex so its a pretty wide driveway. Sometimes there is another car on the other have of the driveway so I just always back in because its easier to drive between Jennifer's car and that one. I don't trust my backing out skill at 6:30 in the moning. :p

I'm kind of lucky in my garage. There is a seam in the concrete that I can feel my back wheels roll over. When I feel that my wheels are past that line then I know I've got a good 18 inches behind my car and about 12 inches between the front and the door. I'm just glad my car isn't much longer. lol

I also use the 'tennis ball method" when driving into the garage...when the tennis ball hits the windshield, I am in far enough in the garage. I can back my truck in... but once I misjudged my position and cracked a taillight lens when I backed into the handle of my snowthrower! ZOINKS!

Backing in looks so much better. I do it at stores, school, into the garage.. everytime i get. It shows the truck off. And looks more 'professional'

I currently pull in to the garage.. however, when I lived in an apt and had a one car garage, I had to back in because it was the only way I could fit my motorcycle, my workbench and tools, and my Stang in there all at the same time.. I got pretty good at it too, backing in that is..

I'm not sure I quite understand this... The front of your truck is more professional than the rear?

Actually, I've found myself backing in to more spaces now at work and such because I'm a little concerned someone will steal my exhaust tips... :(

Jngr, you're lucky. When my car is in the garage, I have about 6 inches in front of it (just enough to slide by) and about 2 inches behind it.

Anybody can pull into a spot forward. When im the only person in a spot backed in. It brings extra attention to my truck. i dont know. its a good way to show it off. Plus i would say the front of my truck looks better than the rear. Since right now my bed is filthy. The paint is great, but the bedliner is grey because i have a bag of gravel in the back for winter.

Pull into the garage. That way the exhaust fumes are outside!:xyxthumbs

Back into parking spots. Hey, it's just cooler!

I pull in forward.

I have "Heads-Up-Display", which projects the speed on the windshield.

I painted a "zero" on my work bench, which lines up with the zero on my HUD. When they are lined up, I'm in the right spot.

Thats so awesome! Very clever too.

I have to say im like SLD, I pull in ususally... but if the cars gonna be there a while... I find that it fits better and looks nicer if you back in. :xyxthumbs

Like 84GTV6 said a few replies earlier, I park headfirst in my garage (using the tennis ball method) to keep the exhaust fumes out of the house. The only drawback to this method is I don't have any windows in the back of my garage, so its difficult to see inside the engine compartment daytime hours.

I back into my garage space. I don't ever want to have to backup when something could be moving behind me. I back into parking spaces in parking lots too, unless I can pull through to the other space where I can leave nose first.

I thought Roderigo meant it looks more professional to back in, 'cause that's what truck drivers do. :D

I back into the garage occasionally, but usually just pull striaght in. My garage is really tight, like 2-3 inches in front and 4 inches or so in the back. I have a big stack of race tires at the front of the garage so I just creep forward very slowly until I almost touch the tires, that way if I go to far it wont scratch my bumper. Plus there's very little space on the sides so I don't feel confident backing it it for fear of dragging the side of the car against the toolbox or something.

I also pull in and use the tennis ball to park in the correct spot each time. I also live on a pretty traffic free street so backing out is not a problem.

I also just added several more fluorescent lights to my garage so I can detail in the garage at night. When I finished with the lights my wife said, "whoa, it's like daytime in here". I replied , "that is the whole point!":D

You're missing an option: Both :)

I drive one car in and the other one is backed in... both drivers door are in the middle of the two car garage. That allows me to park close to the walls on the sides and leave lots of room down the middle to walk without risk of bumping into the cars.
