G35 Detailing Suggestions

Hello,

I have a year old sky blue 05 G35 and wanted some recommendations on some polishes and sealants. I have been using Meg's #7 and #26 by hand and want to use something that is wetter and more durable. The front bumper, hood, and fenders have been repainted and seem softer than other parts of the car. It is more prone to chips. There are light swirl marks throughout the car and some water marks on the hood.

I am planning on buying a PC 7424 with the edge 2000 pads(orange, white, blue). I was planning on using the Sonus SFX-2 followed by KAIO and SG but heard good words about Menzerna (SIP, IP, 106FF) and Zaino (Z2/Z5) products. What would you guys recommend I go with. I do not want something that will break my wallet. Thanks for your time and hope to hear from you soon.

One line known for giving great results without breaking the wallet is Poorboy's. A combo like his Pro Polish followed by EX-P would be good. Duragloss is an alternative to Zaino from what has been said on here.

I am using Four Star's Ultimate and Ultima lines these days.

Ultimate line I would recommend the Final Polish followed by UPP (Ultimate Paint Protection).

Ultima line would be the Paint Prep followed by the UPGP (Ultima Paint Guard Plus).

You're gonna get great results using any of the above mentioned combos. Ultima is the most expensive per ounce but you use so little of the product that it is actually cheaper per application.

Four Star UPP old version is the shiniest LSP I have ever seen on a vehicle and it was a daily driver to boot!!. I must say, though, that the car was perfectly prepped but it is still vivid in my memory. Now that it has Policharger I am sure that any durability issues have been worked out.

Poorboys products definitely if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg. Pro Polish and EX-P like Troy said and maybe some White Diamond after polishing and before the sealant for a little extra flake pop.
