What happens when a company renowned for quality builds a series of irons that has been seen as inviting, won lots of awards, but has been on the market for some time, and has lost the degree of novelty so important to the success of, “Yet another re-launch…”. Well if it’s ping g20 irons, they buckle down even more, bring a little more technology to the table, and listen carefully to their clientele.
These g20 ping irons’s are not exactly The Second Coming of the legendary Beryllium Copper Ping Eye 2’s, but they do bring several things to the table that even the pickiest of clients, such as myself, find more than just a little inviting. They provide all the utilitarian “All-Skill Level” user friendliness of The ping g20 irons for sale’s, mix in most of the forgiveness, without all the clunkiness of The Ping K-15’s , and top it all off with an extra feel good dose of elastomer to the multi faceted cavity back.
Like a lot of the better “Game Improvement” Irons coming out this season, these are longer than many, but not quite as long as a few. What little you give up in distance on these clubs is more than made up for in both feel and workability. The cheap ping g20 irons that openly paste these guys in a distance contest are designed for distance only, or in a few cases, distance and forgiveness. In an all around comparison, these irons are a real standout. Realizing that no club is perfect, I’d have to say that –“RELATIVELY SPEAKING”-- if I had to point out an area that wasn’t necessarily a weakness, but one that was not quite as outstanding as the others—this would be it.
