Full G35 X Detail---Black+Mothers Reflections

Wow! Very impressive!



If Reflections has mild cleaners you can't really layer it but you may be able with Top Coat (I think that is the name of their new pure LSP).

Uh, Burlyq-the problem is not the LSP but typical (unfortunately) Nissan orange peel.



That being said, I didn't find Z2 Pro to be plasticky looking either. More like wet glass...almost like another layer of clear coat.
 
The G35x looks terrific, but you missed the best money shot of the I--take a shot of the hood. I think Infiniti made that hood FOR detailers :D My mother has the silver color (forgot the name at the moment) and even that looks great:up



I'd also like wannafbody to weigh in on the Z v. Mother's comparison. I like those with experience to speak up.

Nicely done ProStreetCamaro! I'm a bit of a Mothers homer and I'm glad to see their product line starting to get some of the hype and recognition they deserve! I really like how user-friendly their products are without compromising performance.



Like you said, Reflections car wax is RIDICULOUSLY easy to buff, does not dust up at all and has a very nice shine. I don't know if you plan on trying any of their other new products, but I also really like FX SynWax, Reflections Leather Care and also their PowerPolish. These products are all very user-friendly too.



Z-2Pro + Z-8 is still my favorite, but I still find myself reaching for SynWax just as often as I do Z these days!

Scott, I think that's a pretty good description of Z-2 Pro's shine.

wannafbody? I know he talks about Z a lot, but he's never used it. :)

Speaking of Z2 Pro, my brother ran his van through the tunnel car wash today and more than 4 months since I applied it, his (silver) van still looks really good and is moderately slick.



I still prefer carnaubas on black paint but I have a lot of respect for Zaino's durability.



Definitely going to have to try out the new Mother's line-up. :)
 
Well I'd at least like to see you try Pro on Black. I know you tried it on a hood, but it is more appealing on the whole car. One of these days I'll send you some Pro to try on black.

I find that Shokar looks very similar to Z2 Pro and while it looked good on my car, as you can see here:

....it just doesn't look deep enough for me. I ended up topping it with the carnauba blend I made (#16, S100 and Natty's) which gave it a deeper look. Yes, I am aware the sun's intensity and angle aren't the same but topping with a carnauba took the edge off the super clear reflections of SK.

I don't doubt you at all Scott. I know when I sent you the two sealant samples you were very fair, and you used them both. Gave perfect reviews. That was cool, I've sent other samples out and the peps didn't even try it. I respect your opinion, but I would like you to try it on black someday. Chances are you still will prefer others and I know that going in, but maybe you will be pleasantly suprised. Speaking of samples, umm, lol.
 
looks great, i need to try some of this reflections stuff i guess, i love products that come off easy.



i did not know nissan/infiniti had such horrible orange peel though :eek:

I've still got a little Z2 Pro left but my brother asked me to save it for his van. I don't have much ZFX either. I do have some Z5 though, I may try that on a metallic black car.
 
I have been using Mother's reflections for 3 years. I don't usually top it, but when I did I use Mother's pure carnuba.
