Full detail gone bad....

Yesterday, while doing the Lexus, I received a call from a local attorney. She was referred to me by another client.......the owner of our local theater. I did his Caddy earlier this week. She said that she would drop it off at the theater's parking lot and I could detail it. I gave her the price and finished up the Lexus. When I arrived to do it, it wasn't what I expected. When you hear "attorney" and "Suburban" in the same sentence, you think new and clean. Nope. Not this one. I should have asked more qualifying questions on the phone! It was old and 189K mile on the clicker. Ok, not to bad on the outside. I opened the door and WOW! Let's just say my had would literally stick to floor. I called her and said I could do nothing for the carpets. We then agreed to just to a wash and wax with a vacuum.

I busted out the PC with Poorboy's Polish with Sealant and let fly. Turned out ok. Well, here's the pics.....

Painted turned ok. I used a yellow EDGE2K pad at a #6 speed. Boy was my pad dirty!

OMG....you wimp...I coulda had them carpets looking new.......... With a replacement carpet....LOL

I wouldn't have even attempted to do it. The exterior looks goo though!!!!
 
I was so mad when I got there. I just closed the door and walked over to McDonalds and sat down with my Big Mac.

Geeeeeeez.
 
thats really not that bad..... it just looks like saturated dirt and drink spills, but what was that pink stuff...... a steamer, stain remover, with a brush would have done the trick..... maybe the pic doesnt show the severity of problem, good job on the outside though

It's not. I know that. I have actually done worse. The point is, I don't have to vehicles in this condition anymore. Also, if this attorney paid a premium price, she's going to expect nothing less than perfection. So, to save a lot of time and grief, I simply told her that we both were not going to satisfied with the end results.

This is more mature and more business like than to promise something and not come through.
 
Outside looks great! We have had our fair share of those interiors. You can almost be sure that most Mom's Minivans and Suv's will be bad.

Troy and I did a school staff every year for Staff Christmas gifts for three years...Put it this way...we were just grateful nothing bit us in the cars. They were all bad!
 
I quote nothing over the phone. I have to see every vehicle before I attempt to do anything. I've been burned to many times!!!!!

How does the PwS work with the yellow pad?Would that not leave more marring than it takes away?
 
I have one of these coming up next weekend.....I am going ot just vac and hit it hard with the extractor...and promise the customer a best effort!

I have no marring at all with this combo. I use this set up a lot too. PwS has not abrasives so it's lubricating the pad while the pad does the work. PwS cleans like no other too! Awesome on chrome.
