This is so fun to read as a towel person. Thanks for the commentary.
BigAl, you are correct to some degree. There are towels out there that are marked up 1000% and guys are buying them left and right. I am told, "Hey, that's good business if you can sell for those prices." I guess my background in education (teaching) left me short of a few business classes.
"Beat any price"- this ALWAYS should make a consumer stop and think before buying.
Like haircuts, there will always be customers for towels and detailing products. Therefore, don't stress the small stuff and what you hear and see. Just buy what works and fits your budget in terms of "sensible" purchasing. Customers of mine do not buy 1-2 towels so they would never spend 9.99 for the same towel when they get it for 2 or so. That said, there are those that spend the extra $$$ because 2-3 towels should last a while, which equates to pennies per use.
Off to my roller hockey game with my new bearings!
Almost no sales this month, but my kids are healthy, I'm back to having fun playing hockey, and it was 75 deg. today. Don't sweat the small stuff in life!!
