I got side swiped back in October and finally the insurance went through and I had it fixed at the end of January. The body shop repainted the rear bumper and the driver's side twice (I wasn't happy the first time I went to pick it up).
Anyways, one week after I pick up the car someone decided to jam a shopping cart into the rear bumper.
Damage:
Panel washed, and scratch cleaned with paint thinner to remove and paint transfer.
Sanded w/ 2000 unigrit and 3000 unigrit by hand. Blended the area around the big gouge and a small section of scratches a few inches above. I need to sand all the repainted panels anyways but I'm not doing that in the middle of the winter. Compounded with Meguiars M95 / Optimum Hyper Compound on orange ccs, polished with Optimum Hyper Polish and sealed with FK1000p.
95% removed, there is a slight crease where the damage was.
And a picture outside (forgive the colour difference, and snow. The first picture was taken 1 hour prior and it was a beautiful day)
