This truck was "cherry" to start with and my challenge for the day was to make it better. I did the whole truck using 1Z Paint Polish with a LC polishing pad, but in a couple of spots to remove some of the deeper scratches I resorted to Menzerna PG with a LC orange pad. Finished off using Menzerna FP and LC finishing pad, and here I deviated from previous work habits. I cranked the Metabo up to 4.5 (mostly used 2.5 - 3 before or a PC on #6) on the dial and held the tool so the pad was barely touching the paint. This helped a lot, I think, in taking the truck to the next level (owner's words).
This was a particularly satisfying detail because several times the owner just stood there staring at the paint and muttering "unbelievable" to himself..... He has done the local "show circuit" for years and it takes a lot to impress him. I think I succeeded yesterday.
