PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?
Guess i pulled the dumb stunt of the year last night. We did the grocery shopping as usuall yesterday. It was of course cold/blowing snow etc. Later that evening she looks out in the driveway and screams "Jesus, you left the back of the escape open!! Really!!!!" I ran outside to see the hatch open. Grabbed some towels and brushed out several inches of snow from the cargo area. It was freezing out of course. No damage done. It started right up. Most vehicles have battery run down protection. Totally my fault. Guess i just forgot to shut the hatch after unloading. Of course you thought i murdered someone. "You have no regard for my things". OUCH. I nearly avoided a big fight over it. I repeatled said "my fault" and left it at that. :wall

Hey, #hit happens. And no damage was done. And i am the only one that ever cleans that vehicle.

Could be worse... My GF once lowered the auto garage door on the bumper of my BMW M Roady. I was too stunned to fight. I just stood there mouth gaping open. Luckily, I was able to buff out the scratches.

What i should have done was when i shovled the driveway this morning is packed the whole rear hatch area inside with snow. Then played dumb. "I dont know?, you must have a air leak back there?" :rofl

Or.....Something like this........

Don't feel bad as I did something stupid as well yesterday. I was out shoveling my driveway and decided to run my Dodge Ram as I haven't started it for a few days. I had gloves on and must have hit the "lock" button after opening it up and starting it. Closed the door and locked the keys inside with the truck running.

I bought the truck used from a Dodge dealer and only have one key. I refuse to pay $300 for a new fob with a chip. I am going to get a regular key to open the doors.

Thankful for AAA. The guy was in my truck within 30 seconds. Scary !!!!

I have an old beater Hyundai that likes to randomly lock itself, that car taught me to never ever leave any car running without putting a window down a few inches.

Well I guess yesterday was forgetful day. I cleaned my car as I usually do and I always stick my Daytona brush in the wiper of that beater to dry and the car was facing the street. Well yesterday I forgot to grab it and put it away. I found it still there this morning. All I could think is I can't believe some kid didn't take it last night.

This is one of my biggest fears ever. Did you witness it happen, or just the aftermath?

My big almost moment was when I was backing my car off some ramps after an oil change and forgetting the garage door was closed. I rarely do it with it closed. I had put it in gear, gave it a little gas to ease it back, and then looked in the rearview mirror.
