Ford recalls hybrids

I totally agree. Why would they put a vehicle on the market that hadn't gone through proper field testing? I'm not sure I will ever voluntarily buy an electric/hybrid vehicle.

That's what people get for buying hybrids. :D

Honestly, I have a lot of confidence in Ford handling this correctly. Their business decisions in the past six months have led me to believe they have some good guys at the helm. They are the only one of the "big three" that may be around in a few years (unless our government keeps up life support).

In light of current situations, if I were to be truck shopping right now Ford would be #1 on my list. They just need a motor in their big trucks that's not anemic.

Your prayers have been answered new truck will have a 410HP option

If they do that option like GM does it (i.e. only offering the 6.2L in the fully decked out Denali) that engine will be out of most people's price range.

I agree on the way Ford is handling this.

As to the truck, I know that there are new engines coming, but right now I can't put my finger on the details. The Ecoboost V-6 from the SHO is one of them, and I think the 5.0 from the Mustang may be the other, but I am not 100% sure yet. Let me look into it and see what I can find.

I saw on tv today a interview with a Prius owner and he said he ran 2 stop signs because at times the brakes just absolutely failed to work.

This is not the problem with the Ford hybrid when you take your foot off the throttle it goes into regenerative braking and when you push on the brake pedal is switches to conventional braking.

The Ford has full braking but their is a few milliseconds while it makes the switch over and it gives you the feeling that the brake is not going to work.
Ford said it is a software issue and they got right on it perhaps one reason they are so quick to fix this is for the last 10 years Toyota has shown then how to not handel these issues.

I guess your referring to Ford having a Gasoline Motor that would be worth a crap? As if I were to buy a Ford Truck , I would go for the diesel...as it's got the power and the torque....and the mileage isn't so thristy

Ford dropped the International and they are going to use a in house diesel.

For more than a year now Haliburtin and Florida power has been using them to see how they do in the field.
From what I have read it will be a 6.7 turbo diesel time will tell how well it will work out.

that ol 7.2 diesel motor they had will pull a sky scraper down
I know I own one but the 6.0 had problems.
Ford did the right thing and did the warranty work but Navistar refused to reimburse Ford so Ford dropped them.
Ford was taking flack for the problems from that engine now they will have total control of how and what they do to their pickup engines.
