Ford Paint, Hard or Soft?

I've got an 04 Cloud 9 white focus and it's not a problem to correct via PC and polishing pad. I'd say it's probably about middle of the road.

I have an 04 F150, it seems to be soft. I've only detailed two other Fords ever and neither were paint corrections but I'd bet they were soft as well....

Not super soft just soft to me.

On the softer side. I did a 05 F-250 a few weeks ago and got pretty good correction using poliseal/XMT360 and a PC with an orange pad.

Sometimes on the soft side and other times on the medium side. But get ready in the near future ford is switching over to a latex based paint with a hard clear coat.

I can't speak for the Taurus, but I do quite a bit of Mustangs and I have to say that on most of them the clear seems soft. I have only had one (an 01 Bullitt) that had a harder clear then most of them.

I used a pc with menz 106 on a white lc pad on speed 6 and had no issues getting out medium swirling. This was an 01 v6 mustang.

On all models or just higher priced models? Isn't latex based paint rather expensive?

i got a 04 mustang and it seems soft to me. i stopped using my cover cause it put marks on my paint everytime i took it off.i noticed the less i touch it the better .

on all the fords I've done its been as said b4 on the softer side of medium...good results with PC/UDM, I've done 3 taurus' and 2 mustangs recently and neither were any problem to finish down....
