Footwear for those long days

What do you guys wear?

Up to this point I have worn a few different types of shoes and I can't say I am completely satisfied with any of them when it comes to working a 10 hour day correcting paint, ect. I've worn running shoes, cross trainers, puma driving shoes(most regularly worn) and then those semi-casual Sketchers. I would like to try out some really nice hiking shoes like Danners but wonder if the weight would kill the experience....or maybe it won't have any real impact? Do any of you have any insight on wearing 2# hiking shoes week in and week out?

I wear Red Backs, I got mine from the Matco tool truck. I think Snap-On sells them also. Comfortable, anti slip and look pretty good.
