Foamgun Instructions

Ok with all the recent threads and questions being asked of foamguns and since i recently purchased one. I would like to hear from everyone who is using one how the use. Are you using straight soap in yours are you diluting it and if so at what ratio. Any and all pertinent information should be posted. This will help all of us who are new to this and also maybe helps current users learn something new.

I'd advise against putting straight soap in the foam gun. A basic 50:50 mix of water and car wash mixed in its own container and then transferred to the foam gun as needed will suffice. I rarely go beyond a 60% solution. Use the siphoning ratios which should be listed on the cup to decide the degree of soapy solution you want to wash with.

Am wondering the reason to advise against a strait solution? Is there something that the strait solution is going to do to the foam gun? Or is this in the interest of saving product?

I always empty the foam gun bottle and rinse the whole thing completely before putting back on the shelf.
 
Some are thick and there's need to unnecessarily subject the gun to a thick product and as much as I like buying car wash, I don't want to be buying it every other week or so. :eek:
