Foam pad question for you mobile guys...

For you mobile detailing guys - what do you do with your foam pads after you are done using them - say for instance, when you do a pad change in the middle of a detail?

When I work in my garage, I usually just shoot some APC or Dawn Power Dissolver on them and throw them in a bucket of soapy water. I then wash them all at the end of the day.

Since mobile guys can't carry a bucket of water around all day - what do you do with your pads if you need to carry them around and don't have the opportunity to wash them until the end of the day?? I wouldn't think it's too good for the pads if they just sit all day with product on them..

When I was mobile I would just put them in a ziplock bag until I got home so they didn't dry out. I've never had a problem with product sitting on the pad, just as long as it doesn't dry out before you can clean it.

I either spray them with some APC and/or water to keep them nice and wet, or I'll hit them with my pressure washer or rinse them if I have access to hose/sink.

I'll just throw them dry into a bucket until I get home. Never had a problem doing that, and the pads clean up just fine. IIRC, Rasky and Connor Harrison joked on another forum about how long they let their pads sit before cleaning them. I think Chad had a couple of stacks of HT pads about a foot high waiting to be cleaned.
