Foam Gun

So I have a older Simple Green foam gun made by glimour. I lost the long nozzle for the front of it but use the little black part that also came with it and it does shoot it out good also. My question is does anyone wash there car using just the foam gun by spraying as they rub? I usually do and after each panel I take and spray off the mitt really good and then inspect it and then go onto the next panel. Is this okay to do? I just dont like the whole bucket thing since using the foam gun there is always soap on the paint at all times.

Heh heh heh :chuckle:

Yeah, I keep a constant flow of foamgun output (I wouldn't really call it "foam") spraying at the point of contact between my wash medium and the vehicle. It provides constant flushing and lubrication, so much so that my rinse buckets stay very clean because the dirt is "dislodged and flushed" off the vehicle.

I move the foamgun a bit so that it's not just spraying one spot (e.g., I spray along the full length of my BHB when using that).

I still use the buckets though.

Josh1- I bet if you call Gilmour customer service you'll stand a good chance of scoring a replacement (foaming) nozzle if you ask very very nicely ;) Even if they charge you, it won't be much and it'll work a whole lot better than the little spray-tab piece.
